Growing up in His Image:
Have you ever read the children’s book by Max Lucado, “You Are Special” ? Well, I think it’s for all ages! The message is awesome. When I recommended it to our Lady’s Bible Study there were many odd looks being passed around, but only from those who’d never actually read the book! Those who had, agreed, it would be beneficial! Who are we getting our identity from ? Others? or God?
Who is our judge? – someone tough or Someone Loving & Merciful, yet True? Who are we more concerned about pleasing, God, or others? We need to grow strong in our relationship with Jesus so we can be confident in who we were created to be… so we can Be who we should be! We need to know ourselves through His Eyes… & have our eyes on Him. We need to come into His Redeeming gaze. We need to RECEIVE His Love & Truth. Take a look:
Wasn’t that a WOW ? I think it’s a wow
“Begin to be now what you will be hereafter.” - St. Jerome
…hmm, for me, that means to live here as we will in Heaven, because we’ve been made for Heaven … Constantly: Remain in His Presence. Adoring; Praising; Glorify; Magnify His Name! Delighting in God & allowing Him to delight in me! … shear Heaven: God’s Will. His Plan. His Purpose. Trusting Him. Joy. Peace. Love. Home… Goodness. Truth. Simplicity. Beauty. Light… Radiant Light. In short, it means to Be a Saint. Young St. Dominic Savio, put it so well, “I never knew how easy it was to be a Saint, now I know, I simply MUST be a Saint!”
“When we become who we were created to be, we will set the world ablaze!”St. Catherine of Siena.

Yes, I had seen it before and commented (see above) and one thing I try to remember is to “play to an audience of One” because I am so tired of people saying how much harder it is today to live a Godly life. They say the kids don’t have a chance today but I wonder why they say that when GOD has not changed at all. Never changing is HE! The media does not change HIM, the sick movies do not change HIM and if we play our lives to HIM those things never change us. Parents want to blame their children’s sins on media and the world today – but I say – not so. Not easy perhaps but GOD is as faithful as ever. There is nothing evil happening today that did not happen in the past. They used to offer their babies in the fire of the mouth of Moloch – today? we throw the fetus in the dumpster -
So true Terry. God gives all the grace needed to overcome whatever we might be faced with. Alleluia!
Ohh my stars are slipping and dots are dropping already !
At first I thought it was a little silly, but it does hit home.
Thanks
